in honor of my recent three year celebration here in blogland, i'd like to host a special giveaway - a custom knit scrappy gnome hat! i've been knitting quite a few of these recently and i thought knitting one for one of my readers would be a perfect way of saying thank you for sharing this space with me here these past three years. the winner will be able to choose the size and color scheme they want (you can see a small selection of the some of the scrappy gnome hats i've knit here in my flickr photo set). all you need to do to enter the drawing is to leave a comment here in this post. i'll announce and contact the winner with details next monday, january 17!

and i knit this one up as a birthday gift for one of maya's classmates (maya picked the colors she thought her friend might like)...
i know i've said it many times, but this is by far my favorite hat for children. and i can't wait to knit one up for one of you, my dear readers!
