whew, what a busy and fun-filled weekend (and week) we have had (hence the reason for my lack of posting last week and yesterday)! along with continuing to get settled in and organized here in our new space...we enjoyed a visit to an alpaca farm and took a short genealogy trip with my parents to a local cemetery (stay tuned for photos of these), as well as participating in several fun seasonal activities at our waldorf school. pumpkin carving was first up, with maya designing and carving this sweet little jack-o-lantern herself (with the help of one of the seniors)...
we also had a wonderful time at our waldorf school's parsnip path festivities - a lovely alternative to the usual spectacle of trick-or-treating, where the children follow along a path in the woods and visit little scenes with gnomes and fairies and fairytale figures. a magical time was had by all, including our sweet rainbow princess girl...
with much delight, each child received a small bag of treasures at the end of the path to commemorate the occasion...
i must say, a welcome alternative to the typical bag full of sweets - such fun!
