here is the scarf i just finished for my son for christmas (modeled by my husband in the photos below). a simple K3P3 pattern that, i think, turned out beautifully. knit in one of my favorite yarns ever - lorna's laces lion and lamb, a gorgeously soft and luxurious 50% silk/50% wool. i had two partial skeins in two different variegated blues and i just alternated them every few rows. the finished length of this scarf is 6'2" long - just perfect for my tall boy.
