i've got a few projects to share this week for wip wednesday. first up are two gnome hats (or hoodies, as the pattern author calls them) that are in my christmas list queue. we're also doing this gnome hat pattern as a knit-along in my austin handwork group. i knit this first gnome hat in a yellow and purple variegated wool and silk blend, which are the recipient's (my niece) two favorite colors. it ended up pooling in a bit of a strange way, but i hope she will like it. details are on my ravelry page here.
i'm knitting this second gnome hat, which i just started, in malabrigo worsted merino in the beautiful curacao colorway. details here.
i've also just started a small lap blanket for a family member who is in the hospital undergoing some treatment right now. hoping to bring her some warmth and positive energy. i'm knitting this simple seed stitch blanket in a luxuriously soft silk yarn. details here.
and lastly, a bit more progress on my rainbow booga bag knit-along that i'm doing with my dallas knitting pals. i've completed the bag, including an applied i-cord bind-off. now i'm just finishing up the 7.5 feet of i-cord that i'll need for the handles, then all that will be left will be the felting! details here.
happy wednesday!
