out of necessity (or maybe i should say simplicity?) i recently decided that i needed a smaller knitting needle 'traveling' case to carry along inside my individual knitting project bag - to keep my needles (and other accessories) tidy and neat. something useful and practical, and just the perfect size for my little travel bag (which, of course, i carry with me everywhere - after all, who knows when i may have a few minutes to knit?). so i quickly created this simple little case using some plant-dyed 100% wool felt from my stash, sewing it together with embroidery thread (using a decorative blanket stitch) and adding a wee little snap closure. and i must say, i love the way it turned out. in this handy little 4"x6" case i can easily carry my most commonly used circular needles, a couple of sets of short double pointed needles, some stitch markers, some scissors and even a knitting gauge tool. perfect for some knitting on the go!
happy creative wednesday to everyone,
shelley
