today concludes my week of rainbows. thank you so much for joining me here and sharing some rainbows of your own! let's do this again sometime. :)
by special request, here are photos and a bit of an explanation about our annual calendar ring (which is made by grimm's spiel and holz - but you could certainly be creative and make your own)...
as part of our yearly rhythm, we use this annual calendar ring to help us honor the weeks of the year. each color of the rainbow represents a month of the year, for which we have chosen a small representative figure (this figure is placed on the first day of each month). as each week begins (mondays for us), we place a small colored ball into one of the four holes on that month's corresponding section (note: this is a bit different than the suggested use for these little colored balls and i did decide to go ahead and purchase more of them than was provided - we just chose to do it this way).
using this annual calendar ring is an enjoyable, and much anticipated, part of our weekly rhythm and helps us to be mindful of each passing week as it unfolds before us.
thank you again, as always, for joining me here and i hope you have a lovely weekend!
