well, my friends...it's a new year. and it's a new start here on this little ol' blog of mine. i've been doing important things, yes...but i've missed my time here. i've missed my connections with you, my dear readers (i hope some of you out there haven't given up on me yet??). :) and so here i am, recommitting myself to this creative space and eager to share a few new things with you in the days ahead...

oh yes, and i did a bit of knitting while i was away, too. quite a bit, actually (it kept me calm and centered amidst all the change). so now i have a few bloom dresses and felted water bottle holders available in the shop...

it all began in march. we weren't really looking to purchase a home just yet (although that was certainly one of our longterm future goals), as living in our little studio apartment was working quite well and we were enjoying our sweet cozy space there. but sometimes the universe has another plan in mind and you've got to be ready to follow your path whenever the time presents itself. and so, we did just that.
this house, situated on two beautiful heavily-treed acres, became available on the very road we envisioned and dreamed of living one day! within walking distance from our beloved waldorf school and quite secluded at the very end of the road. very serendipitously, we received a call late one night from the owners saying that they were putting the house on the market the very next day...and that a neighbor (and good friend!) had suggested that we might be interested. we went the next morning to see it and absolutely loved the location and the land, although we felt that quite a few renovations to the house would be in order and wondered if we were ready for such a big commitment. but again, trusting that the universe had undoubtedly led us here...we decided to take the leap and the rest, as they say, is history!
sooo...we've been packing, moving, cleaning, painting, renovating and clearing since then...sometimes at what seemed like a snail's pace (hence my absence here). we still have much to do, but we are settling in nicely and we look at one another often, full of gratitude, and think just how blessed and lucky we are to be here.

well, my dear friends, a funny thing happened on the way to my next blog post - i got lost! lost in the wonderful (sometimes stressful, oftentimes joyous) world of buying our dream home (on two glorious acres just down the road and within walking distance from our waldorf school!), packing, moving, renovating, summer vacation, summer knitting, family time and the like. but here i am now, on the other side of things, eager to share with you some of the amazing details of these past few months...
i have much to share on the whole process, the move, the renovations, and everything else. i'll be back again tomorrow!
