sorry for the late post today. maya had a bit of fever yesterday and hasn't been feeling well all day today, so we spent the day resting, relaxing and recuperating. it was just what we both needed.

it is such a joy to spend time outside in the cooler part of the early evenings these days. to throw the quilt down and play and knit and read a bit together. to feel the green grass beneath our feet, hear the birds in the trees and see the clouds up above...

...to just be.

hotel weekend...

as a surprise, my sweet husband arranged a weekend stay for us at a new little sleek and modern, local hotel - complete with a bouquet of fresh, peachy-pink roses and perfect weather. what a treat it was to get away, enjoy the luxury, relax with a frappachino and bask in the sun at this absolutely perfect spot. i mean, how lucky can one girl be?

oh yes, and what weekend would be complete without losing a second tooth?
