i knit a very special rainbow blanket for maya a little over a year ago using one of my very favorite dream in color yarns (classy) in a rainbow of their veil-dyed colorways, and ever since then...i've been looking for another project to use this gorgeous yarn on again. and the time has come. i decided to make another one (yes another one!) of my georgie hallam bloom/rainbow dress hybrid tunics (maya literally wears one of these every single day) - but my plan this time is to knit the bottom part of the tunic in garter stitch. i know that means knitting one row and then purling the next since it is knit in the round (crazy, huh?)...but i'm just so terribly enamoured with the way this yarn knits up in garter stitch that i'm going to give it a try anyway. wish me luck!
(ravelry link and specific yarn colorways listed here)
and, of course (as you may have guessed), i've started another scrappy gnome hat. this one in another combination of pinks and purples for a little girl in the kindergarten at our waldorf school...
also here are the latest two gnome hats that i've completed for another waldorf mama friend...
as for my yarn update today, i bring you some rainbow yarn from crystal palace (yarn that maya picked out):
chunky mochi, in rainbow...
what's 'in progress' in your basket this week?
