each october, the annual state fair of texas is held in our hometown of dallas at historic fair park. after a day of rest and recovery for maya from her brief illness (since this was a long weekend), we headed south on the train for our annual visit to this remarkable fair...
highlights for this year was the butterfly exhibit, as well as the annual bird show and dog show favorites. maya also had a young giraffe and camel eat out of her hand during our visit to the children's zoo. and like every year, we marveled at the beauty of the art and buildings surrounding us. and, of course, there were the traditional corny dogs to eat!
