my work-in-progress this week is a bloom tunic for maya, using various wool yarn scraps that i've collected over the years from previous projects. i've always been attracted to the way 'scrappy' projects look (similar to noro, no?) but have somehow never cast on for one of my own - how can that be?? after recently admiring a gorgeous scrappy sweater that a friend had knit (she's making one for maya now :) ), i knew it was time to knit something of my own! and so i gathered together an array of favorite colors from my scrappy yarn stash for a new tunic...

this tunic will be similar to the rainbow noro tunic i recently finished for maya (same designer, georgie hallam - love her!), but tunics are such a staple in maya's wardrobe that i figured we could never have too many. i'm also hoping this style stays up on her slender shoulders a bit better. :)

and for my yarn update today, i've photographed all of my 'dream in color' wool to add to my ravelry stash. below is just a sampling (you can see all of the colorways/photos on my flickr page here):
dream in color classy, in cool fire...

dream in color smooshy, in lipstick lava...

dream in color smooshy, in giant peach...

dream in color classy, in butter peeps...

dream in color smooshy, in spring tickle...

dream in color classy, in gogo grassy...

dream in color smooshy, in some summer sky...

dream in color smooshy, in into the mystic...

what are you working on this week?
