i started this second lacy baktus back in february, as a gift for maya's teacher, in a lovely DK weight fleece artist silk (see my original post about it here). but for some reason, it just never did feel quite right. then my sweet girl suggested i knit it in a rainbow colorway so that her teacher...'can remember me every time she wears it!'. out of the mouths of babes. :) so back to the yarn stash we went and immediately chose this lovely worsted weight, gradient dyed silk merino that i'd been saving for something special. and i must say, it definitely feels perfect now! every stitch filled with just a little bit more love and gratitude now than before...
for the love and joy of knitting a rainbow for someone special...
