after the rush of the holidays, it's nice to have a couple of new leisurely-paced projects on the needles...just because. recently maya asked for a cowl, after seeing the ones i had knit and gifted to others for christmas...and so i began this little peachy-pink cowl for her to wear to school after our winter break. i'm using the good luck cowl pattern (free on ravelry) and it's knitting up very quickly. i think it's going to be lovely in this beautiful handmaiden silk and wool - in our favorite colors, of course!
also, i've been trying to find the perfect scarf pattern for this beautiful lorna's laces lion and lamb, in the beverly colorway...and finally decided to use this malabrigo waffles scarf pattern again, after loving the way it turned out in the waffle scarf i made for my dad for christmas (finished photos still to come of my dad's scarf). i'm wondering now though if the definition of this waffle pattern isn't getting a little lost in the variegated colorway - what do you think?
happy creative wednesday to you. :) and back to more finished holiday handmades tomorrow!
