after knitting and gifting this first raspberry lemonade gnome hat to my sweet niece, audrey, for her early december birthday...it was apparent that it was just too small for her. i had chosen the yellow and purple color combo specifically for her since those are her two favorite colors, but the 50% silk/50% wool combo made it less stretchy and therefore too snug around her face. so as a replacement, i immediately started on this malabrigo gnome hat for her in the sauterne colorway (malabrigo just can't be beat for this hat), and i'm happy to announce that it fits perfectly - and she's happy with just the yellow. :) oh, how i adore this hat pattern in all it's gnomey goodness!
