i finally finished wesley's new hat. actually, the original hat pattern that i started with this yarn (way back in janauary, as crazy as that sounds) was a poorly written pattern and ended up too small...so maya has taken possession of it. but i had plenty of this lovely yarn (which happens to be the exact color of wesley's eyes) left over for another one and quickly knit up stephanie nicole's 'hat fit for a boyfriend' pattern, which was super easy and turned out great! wesley wanted a folded edge on his hat, so i didn't start the decreases until 7 inches up. i'm sure i'll be knitting up quite a few more of these with cooler weather on it's way...
i think i just might have to get more of this yarn and knit him a matching scarf, too - don't you think?
here's to finally finishing a long overdue project!
