i've been working on maya's rainbow booga bag for a few weeks now as a knit-along with my dallas knitting group (see earlier posts here, here and here). and although we were unable to meet this week and felt our bags together as planned, i was still mighty excited about the final felting process and finishing the bag.
now i'm not sure if this was related to the malabrigo yarn that i used for the bag (a different yarn that the pattern called for), but during the felting process it came out much smaller than i was expecting and than the pattern suggested it would. so instead of attaching the i-cord handle and making it a backpack (which i had originally planned), it worked out nicely as a small rainbow bag/purse.
maya, of course, is thrilled with it and can't wait to carry it when she wears her rainbow gnome hat and rainbow poncho!
