i was doing some organizing today and realized that i had never taken photos of the baby quilts i made for maya while i was pregnant with her. i made all three of these very simple (and now very well loved) quilts only a few weeks before she was born (i vividly remember those intense nesting instincts toward the end of my pregnancy and how i could sew/knit/clean/organize for entire days at a time!)...
plain and simple? definitely. but mama-made, used constantly and very well-loved over these last 5 years!
much to my chagrin, i am still behind on my custom hats - although i am finally *almost* caught up. continued apologies to anyone still waiting for a hat. i am going to do my dead level best to get them all out by the end of june! so, as you can imagine, my 'work in progress' for this week is...you guessed it - hats. i've even enjoyed some knitting outside on a few of these nice, cooler june days!
as a surprise, my sweet husband arranged a weekend stay for us at a new little sleek and modern, local hotel - complete with a bouquet of fresh, peachy-pink roses and perfect weather. what a treat it was to get away, enjoy the luxury, relax with a frappachino and bask in the sun at this absolutely perfect spot. i mean, how lucky can one girl be?
oh yes, and what weekend would be complete without losing a second tooth?
